Purple Sneaker Kick-off: Fighting Back Against Alzheimer's & Dementia
As a senior living community, we are proud to partner with William James Group to shine a light on the important work the Alzheimer’s Association is doing to support families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. We do this by taking part in William James Group’s annual Purple Sneaker Kick-off.
What is Purple Sneaker Kick-off?
Purple Sneaker Kick-off is an event series centered around a common goal to advocate for people impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia. We do this by raising awareness about the work of the Alzheimer’s Association through our Purple Sneaker Kick-off events, and by fundraising via the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Purple Sneaker Kick-off began in 2025, with just nine communities participating. Last year, the Purple Sneaker Kick-off raised $46,000+ for the Alzheimer’s Association and participated in local Walk to End Alzheimer events in each community.
This year, along with our fifteen sister communities, we will participate in the Second Annual Purple Sneaker Kick-off, hosting a family-friendly event at our community campus and engaging in other creative fundraising initiatives, now through the end of November!
